I have been the Chairperson of the Committee on Special Education (CSE), the Committe on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) and the 504 Committee as well as the School Psychologist at Pocantico Hills School District for the past 13 years.
As Psychologist, I counsel students, observe them in their classrooms, work with parents, teachers and related service providers and do psychological evaluations and social histories.
As CSE, CPSE and 504 Chairperson, I explain and support parents through the process of evaluation and identification and then set up and Chair the meetings that determine the Least Restrictive Environment to provide services needed for students. When a child has needs that cannot be met within Pocantico Hills, I explore options in nearby Districts and work with parents to find appropriate programs to meet the unique needs of the child.I am the Liason with our Consortium Districts.
